The memory cards used in dash cameras are very demanding since they are continually writing to the card and must work in the most challenging circumstances possible for memory. As a result, they are frequently exposed to extreme temperature swings and are required to work in both those conditions. Memory cards, even high-quality ones, aren't up to the task and will break quickly under these circumstances. Transcend High Endurance cards have been the only ones I've had luck with so far. However, Transcend cards are pricey and sometimes be hard to come by.
